I'm not sure where the figure of 50 came from for Dec 5. I just
sampled the deposits so far for 2008 December up to Dec 8:
http://www.zora.uzh.ch/view/year/2008.html

11 deposits
1/11 (9%) unpublished preprint
8/11 (73%) full-texts
7/11 (54%) OA full-texts
1/11 (9%) full-text Closed Access + Button

Those interested in a more serious estimate should test a larger sample.

The explicit target of the OA Movement is peer-reviewed journal articles:
17 of these 19 deposits are book chapters. I suggest random sampling
(on a larger sample) ordipping into more journal-intensive fields...

This is a configurational detail. EPrints can be configured to tally
full-texts if desired.
