I shared your notice with a reference librarian and with the associate
director of the med library here in Denver, Colorado, and thought you
might like to see the brief exchanges...

My read on the NEJM response that Marla describes hereinbelow is a NEJM
endorsement/acknowledgement of the reality of Internet publishing. From
me: keep up the good work.

Teresa and Mary -- A related tidbit is that New England Journal of
Medicine has just announced that any article made available via the
internet (whether in an official electronic journal or not)
constitutes "publication," and the article will not be considered for
publication in the NEJM. --Marla
