My Projects
On this page you'll find web links to the various projects, computing-related or otherwise, that I've worked on.
ToDoMe
Last year I teamed up with some other ECS students
to take part in the SVc2UK Appathon, an app-building contest
in which teams of undergrads have one week in which to build an app that uses government data on a
platform of their choice. After a week of coding, little sleep, flu, jumping into the Android "deep
end", and video editing, the result was ToDoMe, an Android app that uses
government and OpenStreetMap data to provide location-based reminders for your tasks.
For example, imagine that you need to post a letter. If you add it to your task list on ToDoMe, you will be reminded to post it when are near a post box.

Instructables
I've made a few Instructables for various things, which can be found at instructables.com.
World of Warcraft AddOns
Consolid8
I had the idea for Consolid8 when I was playing through a dungeon in-game, as part of a team of five.
We were killing some sort of monster, I forget what, and there were huge numbers of them. We were
killing a few every second, each one giving its own message saying, "Reputation with faction X
increased by 3." Meanwhile, there were some bigger monsters coming, and some of my teammates were
putting messages in the log saying, "Get out of the way," but I couldn't see them because of the
reputation messages. To solve this problem, Consolid8 detects messages like this, counts them up,
and shows the user a summary of them when they leave the dungeon or hover over an icon. This means
that the messages can be hidden and the user can only see the important ones in the heat of battle.

CharNote
CharNote was the first addon that I published, and is most useful as a memory aid for new players.
It simply allows the user to set a note that will appear when they log in to a character or visit
an auction house.
