Music

Forest Folk

We've played together for quite a while now, so our playlist is quite extensive. Here's examples of some of the music we play. We play more than is given here, so if you have a song you particularly like, please don't hesitate to ask us. Some songs are dances, some are just to listen to, some are just songs, and some are combinations. There is quite a bit of Irish music since we've played four St. Patrick's night dances (so far).

Irish Songs: Danny Boy; Wild Rover, When Irish Eyes are Smiling; and Hills of Connemara. Dances: Paddy on the Railroad; Lannigan's Ball; Buddy of Sligo; Paddy McGinty's Goat; Click Go the Shears; and Carolan's Air.

Scottish Back of Benachie; Highland Reel; Scotland the Brave; Inskillen Dragoon; Cock of the North; Atholl Highlander

English Songs: Leaving of Liverpool; Happy Birthday (Good Morning to All for copyright reasons). Dances: Silver and Gold; Log Cabin; Jolly Coppersmith; Nottingham Swing; Trumpet Hornpipe; Ka-foo-zalum; Dorset doublededo; Dorset Six Hand Reel; Dominic's Hornpipe; and Roaring Jelly (wow, what a name!).

American Songs: Good Morning to Aall. Dances: Salt River; Stoney Point; 8th of January; St. Gettysburg March; and Staten Island.

Oz Waltzing Matilda

Waltzes Northern Lights; Rosie's Waltz; When Irish Eyes are Smiling; St Bernard's; Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud (yes, it's a waltz too)
