ATAL 97

For ATAL-97, it was felt that the workshop was sufficiently mature that it merited its own event, and so the conference was located immediately before the AAAI-97 conference in Providence, Rhode Island. ATAL-97 received about 80 submissions, and was attended by 75 delegates. Invited speakers were Les Gasser, Danny Lange, and Kurt Konolige. The workshop included a panel on analysis and design methodologies for multi-agent systems.

The proceedings were published under the title Intelligent Agents IV, as volume 1365 of Springer-Verlag's Lecture Notes in AI series.
