Paula
Rocha graduated in Applied Mathematics at the University of Porto and obtained
her Ph.D. degree in Systems and Control from the University of Groningen,
The Netherlands, where she spent 4 years as a Ph.D. student with a grant
from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
After having worked 3 years as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Technical Mathematics of the Delft University of Technology, she moved to the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and is currently Professor at the Department of Mathematics.
Her interests are mainly in the area of Mathematical Systems Theory, namely in the behavioural approach to one- and multi-dimensional (nD) systems, and, more recently, in the field of biomedical systems.
