Shiva Shankar
Shiva Shankar received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1978 and his Ph.D from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He has held various positions at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Madras, and The Institute of Mathematics, University of Groningen. He has been the recipient of a French Government scholarship (for advanced research) at INRIA, Sophia Antipolis.
His research interests are in the Control of Distributed Systems and in Mechanics.
