LaTeX has a slightly higher initial learning curve over some other document preparation systems. Much of this is because the standard document templates provided need some tweaking and you need to know which packages to include to provide good facilities for importing graphics, producing tables and embedding hyperlinks. To help minimise this I have written some document templates for the commonly required tasks by undergraduates, postgraduates and staff in ECS.
Installation
- Open ecsdocs.zip and/or uoscv.zip in winzip.
- Extract the files to your local TexMF directory, C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\TeX.
- Tell MiKTeX about the new files; Start->Programs->MiKTeX->MikTeX Options and click on "Refresh Now".
